CUSTOM Bacalar Chico Tour

This adventure is what you would call a “hidden gem”.  If you want to experience the true vibe of a snorkeling and fishing adventure, and sightseeing, the Bacalar Chico Run is the one to take! 

The trip takes you north towards Tranquility Bay.  Once there you take a turn outside the reef for just a bit and watch as the barrier reef gets closer and closer to land. Once the reef separates from the land again, you head back in to calm, beautiful blue water.

This area is some of the best snorkeling, just try to catch some conch or lobster (when in season). Take a turn fishing too, as somebody has to catch lunch?   The coral is gorgeous and the fish are abundant.  The water is anywhere from about 5 to 10 feet deep and as clear as glass.  This all-day cruise takes you through the mangroves where you will float along trying to spot a manatee.   Once on the other side of the Caye, you make your way to the tiny Bacalar Visitors Center, a small museum.  Take a quick peak inside as you wait for your BBQ lunch to be prepared.
