Spring Break in Belize

Belize Spring Break

Do you want to spend your Spring Break in the Caribbean? Everyone wants to go away for Spring Break, and many students stare at the wall daydreaming about sunny beaches and sudsy drinks instead of whatever's on the whiteboard attached to the blank wall.

So if you're dreaming of the Caribbean for your spring break, you're not alone. But with so many options out there that can feel commercial, why not check out the tucked-away sanctuary of Belize?

What Makes Belize so Great?

Belize is the ideal destination for Spring Break for a few reasons.

First, Belizeans predominately speak English and considering one of the classes that you might have been slacking off in is Spanish; this might be enough for you to purchase a flight right away.

Second, the water. Belizean waters are said to be the perfect spot for anglers and are among the most beautiful places in the world. At the top of the list of reasons for this is the Belize Barrier Reef. This 200-mile part of the Meso-American Reef has one of the most significant coral structures anywhere. This is perfect for fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling, you name it!

Finally, variety. While we enjoy being on the water, there are also ruins and jungles to explore inland. If you want a spring break with a little bit of everything, we can find a perfect party plan for you as soon as you get off the plane!

Belize Spring Break Activities

Scuba Diving

We suggest booking your dives a week or two before heading down. This may not always be necessary but better to be safe than sorry that your preferred dive shop has room on the boat for you.

Snorkeling

For those more inclined to snorkel than dive, the opportunities for snorkeling are nearly endless in Belize. From the beaches of nearly every Caye, one can walk out and snorkel over one of the world's most beautiful coral reefs.

Fishing

Why should a fisherman care? This magnificent reef makes for the perfect home for a wide range of smaller baitfish and crustaceans. These attract the biggest of the game fish world. The barrier reef is home to more than 500 types of fish.

JUNGLE ADVENTURES

The rainforest of western Belize holds many exciting adventure opportunities. Visit a Maya ruin and learn more about the extraordinary people who populated this region for thousands of years. Hike through the jungle and splash in untouched waterfalls. Explore the extensive cave systems atop an inner tube or canoe. Zip line across the top of the jungle canopies. There’s horses to ride, butterfly farms to visit, and streams to kayak. Jungle Belize has much to offer.
