Introducing Coconut Carts & Terry Beck

We love to bring joy to anyone coming to visit this amazing place we now call home, and we love to share the stories of the people behind the many businesses with which we work.  We have decided to spotlight our favorites, and showcase some of the many reasons that make them amazing companies and people!

There are many, many, many golf cart rental companies here on Ambergris Caye, anywhere you turn, there is a company willing to offer you a golf cart with daily rates, weekly rates, or even monthly rates.  Since we are Belize Happy Adventures, we want to point you to the happiest of partners that we recommend.  

Terry Beck at Coconut Carts is our first spotlight! He is the happy owner of Coconut Carts. Terry comes to San Pedro via Canada!  He moved to the Caye in 2015 and has not looked back.  As a consumer packaging guru from Canada, his business and life experiences, as well as his stellar customer service and, of course, his always happy disposition gives Coconut Carts an edge when determining from whom to book your golf cart rental.

Terry started Coconut Carts in November of 2015 with 6 carts and a month later he had 10 carts in his fleet.  He opened a quaint office just south of the airport at the beginning of 2016. Terry expanded again by offering his famous luggage service in February of 2016.  He didn’t stop there as he saw a need for visitors coming to the Caye, so he created a provisioning service which consists of providing liquor and food items for arriving guests at their condo rental. Need some eggs, milk, coffee, etc.? Get your list together and start your vacation off right. He has a great array of items available for order.

The Fleet of Coconut Carts

The fleet now consists of 17 four seaters and 1 six-seat golf cart. These are beautifully maintained carts.  We have never seen anyone more impeccably caring for their carts. Terry is very particular about making sure each cart is perfect at the time you receive it.  

Coconut Carts is well known for their customer service, which is outstanding!  Whether you arrive at the local ferry or the airport, Terry (and Coco his little puppy), or his local partner Iliana will be there to meet you with a cold bottle of water and a fresh cold towel for cooling off.  They will brief you on your golf cart with professionalism and joy. Each cart is numbered, matched up with its own set of keys and lock.  You can’t miss the yellow “Coconut Cart”.  Terry will make sure to assist you to your hotel or Airbnb with his luggage service, once checked in, you are on your own to start your Belize Happy Adventure.  Terry or Iliana are available for you to assist you in every way possible before, during, and at the end of your rental.
