The Lodge at Chaa Creek

We recently spent 3 wonderful days and nights here at Chaa Creek. What Mr. Mick and Ms. Lucy have built there is truly spectacular! The setting is as beautiful as any resort we've stayed at around the world. Our cottage was perfectly situated on the grounds and the appointments were wonderful. We'd wake to the sound of the birds, animals, and gentle rainfall. It was idyllic. The staff, always available but never overbearing, were very pleasant and well trained. The food and drink could not have been better. There are tours of the grounds available, guided bird watching, butterfly habitat, and more. This is a magical place, built over 40 years, clearly with love for the environment and guests in mind. In addition, it is close enough to visit San Ignacio and other must-see tourist attractions, but remote enough to feel like we found the perfect wilderness retreat. We can't wait until we're here again!
